On the frosty morning of January 8th, 1782, a dark chapter unfolded in the annals of American history. The peaceful settlement of Gnadenhutten, home to hundreds of friendly Lenape Indians who had sought refuge from war, was brutally attacked by a band of Continental militiamen.
